In given below link, you will find the crystal theme created by DarkDog. Its provided by default in the minicm sources, but due to its large size [15Mb], I removed it and providing it as an add-on. Interested users may simply download the theme, copy to sd-card and install.
The MiniCM7, crystal and OrangeHaze themes are made exclusively for the MiniCM7 ROMs.
They are not to be used with other ROMs, so DON'T rip them off. period.
You are warned. period.

so... I additionally
- installed the kernel "CyanogenMod#2 percy_G2 kern for CM SGY.zip"
- rebooted into its' CWM
- first carried out: FORMAT SYSTEM
- only then I did the above steps from OP
- installed gapps & SOFTKEY ENABLER
- rebooted
this worked like a charm

don't forget manual FORMAT SYSTEM in CWM else you might get stuck in boot screen.

test report
1. with no SIM inserted, the "emergency call only" screen is a bit pesky (I didnt know how to get rid of it - no way to get to main screen)
2. reboot with SIM, then reboot without SIM card is no problem.
3. next I installed PRDROID.APK via bluetooth successfully.
4. I was met with a rebuff, however, when I ran pdroid: the pdroid patches were not installed. I was left to believe that CM7 is pdroid enabled by default, or was it CM9... not sure.
5. FM radio gave me FC
6. some CM7 settings FCed
7. but everything else worked of course: Wifi, BT, googlePlayStore etc.
